Dave Grohl doesn't want this twentysomething lady who plays a teenager on TV to belt out "Everlong" (twentysomething lady who plays a teenager on TV pictured here being secsy for GQ Magazine)

According to a Hollywood Reporter interview at SXSW, the Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl and drummer Taylor Hawkins had a few colorful statements when asked why they didn't want the Foo Fighters' music in inexplicably successful TV musical show Glee:

Dave Grohl: "It's every band's right, you shouldn't have to do fucking Glee. And then the guy who created Glee is so offended that we're not, like, begging to be on his fucking show... fuck that guy for thinking anybody and everybody should want to do Glee."

There's more:

"I watched 10 minutes. It's not my thing."

[to drummer Taylor Hawkins]: "The Glee guy, what a fucking jerk. Slash was the first one. He wanted to do Guns 'n' Roses and Slash is like, 'I hate fucking musicals. It's worse than Grease.' Then [the Glee dude is] like, 'Well, of course he'd say that, he's a washed up ol' rock star, that's what they fucking do.' And then Kings of Leon say, 'No, we don't want to be on your show.' And then he's like, 'Snotty little assholes...' And it's just like, Dude, maybe not everyone loves Glee. Me included."

Taylor Hawkins: "Yeah, f--- that shit."

I knew there was a deeper reason for my Dave Grohl crush. And don't think he's some stuck-up rock star dude. He's not just saying this because of the fact that Glee's performances suck the life out of the songs they do. It's also because the people at Glee think they're all that.Everyone. Does. NOT. Like. Glee.Being a person who has a background in theatre and musicals, Glee? Nah, son.Not so much. Personally, I think the show gives Musicals a bad name. When I saw their little "Singin' In The Rain" thing, I wanted to throw something at the TV.People who have ABSOLUTELY NO CLUE and are trying to....oh please....don't get me started this early in the morning before breakfast. It was so painfully obvious to me that Glee didn't do any research on "Singin'...". If they had, maybe their performances wouldn't have come off so superficial to me.But I digress.Back to my main point:Good on ya, Misters Grohl & Hawkins. And Slash. And Kings of Leon.

I loved the first season of Glee (but not this season) but of course every band has a right not to have their music on the show. It's immature for the creator to criticize them for that.

Yeah. someone has to say it. Never did like 'em messing up any of the old stuff. Tha's sacrilege. And yes, Bands should say NO. 'Nuff said.

I honestly couldn't agree more. I have nothing against musicals or all genres of music in general, but for some strange reason just can't seem to get into Glee. I have tried to watch this stupid show on several occasions and I can't seem to get past 5 minutes of their dribble. Glee has got to be the most over-rated show I have ever seen. The sad thing is that I read somewhere they took a poll and over 60% of Glee's audience was gay. I am a gay 40 year old male and I always thought gay people had better taste than that. I personally wouldn't let my dog watch Glee. That's how terrible I think it is.

I couldn't agree more!Watch out Foo! Glee creator might come back and say you hate our youth and don't want them to be musically educated! Because we all know Glee is the only viable solution for that. Haha.
