It's that time of year again.

The headliner for this year's LA Weekly Presents LA 101 is Los Angeles' own Airborne Toxic Event.

Held at Gibson Amphitheatre on October 23, 2011, the all-ages festival features music, art, vendors and food trucks. Supporting musical acts will be announced August 1st.

Known for rock music brushed with sweeping orchestral arrangements, Airborne Toxic Event followed up its 2008 self-titled debut this past spring with All at Once.

Why is it that LA weekly is not even promoting this event? It is impossible to find any information on the fair before the show. Somebody should be fired seriously. LA weekly doesn't even have this on their calender on their own website? This is the worst promotion I have ever seen. My niece had better coverage for her play in elementary school...

who the F is playing this show? I want a list of the bands and can not find it any where! I know TPC is playing and that is who I want to see but who else? This is very confusing to try to buy tickets, I dont want to buy them and be at the wrong stage to see bad bands i dont care about. Can anyone help me?

According the The Airborne Toxic Event's newsletter, The Tokyo Police Club and Delta Spirit will open for them inside the amphitheater. In the afternoon, The Drowning Men and Electric Guest will be playing on the outdoor stage. You buy the tickets through their store, and then pick them up at will call at the venue. I've done this many, many times and never had a problem. Plus they only charge a $5.00 fee; much better than those Ticketmaster Fees.
