Update: Alec Ounsworth of Clap Your Hands Say Yeah will perform @ Soho House West Hollywood at 8pm

Update: Charles Bradley and Hands have moved from the Echoplex to the Echo tonight (Sunday).

Update: Clap Your Hands Say Yeah have had to cancel their appearance at the Echoplex on Sunday due to flight cancellations as a result of Hurricane Irene.

Update: We've received conflicting information over who is playing El Cid and, for the time being, have taken down that information.

Update: Melvins will not be playing.

Update: Hanson has canceled their appearance. Dum Dum Girls has also confirmed that they will not be playing a show.

Wednesday morning, the Los Angeles Board of Public Works voted to deny permits for Sunset Junction Music Festival, effectively canceling the annual event just days before it was set to take over Silver Lake. The scheduled bands have scrambled to find new gigs.

Below is our list of the new set times and venues for Sunset Junction artists for Monday.

Monday, August 29:

1. Tapes 'n Tapes, Stone Darling @ The Satellite 8:30 p.m.-2 a.m.
2. Alec Ounsworth of Clap Your Hands Say Yeah will perform @ Soho House West Hollywood at 8pm

We are sitting here wondering why Michael McKinley hasn't been thrown in jail...it's becoming more and more obvious this guy has been running a scam and using the money he makes off this festival for his own wants and needs. It was to be our first festival and we were greatly looking forward to it. Oh well, at least we get to see the Butthole Surfers at The Echo tonight...but right now it's off to the bank to file a claim for the money we spent to buy tickets. What a shame. McKinley needs to be investigated and prosecuted.

for those asking about refunds i bought online and when i asked i got this email

As you are aware, Sunset Junction 2011 has been cancelled. We have been attempting to contact the event organizers for the last several days regarding customer refunds, unfortunately they have not responded and it seems they are reluctant to issue refunds for any tickets sold.Our normal course of action for a cancelled event, for which we had processed funds, would be to immediately refund all ticket sales. Complicating this situation, the funds collected for tickets and donations to the festival were processed and collected through Sunset Junction's own credit card processing account. As a result, we are unable to issue refunds without the cooperation of the event organizers.Currently, the only resolution we can offer is that you contact your bank and file a charge back/dispute claim. We understand that this is not the most convenient method of securing your refund. However we are absolutely confident that it will be effective in resolving the issue.We will continue to pursue a resolution directly with the organizers of the Sunset Junction. We apologize for this inconvenience. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to our support team.Sincerely,The Flavorus Team

How do I get a refund for my Sunset Junction tickets? I bought them at Origami Vinyl and they said they could not refund it. I cannot find the SJ organizers.

just got an email from Flavorous.com the site I bought them from saying they cant get in touch with the promoters and can't issue refunds.

The fair organizers also run the Silver Lake Farmer's Market on Saturdays (9am-1pm). Your best bet is to go there and ask for Edwin.
