Soulstyce Festival featuring Fat Joe and others - Pico Rivera - Sept 17, 2011

It was coo. It felt like I was at a huge back yard party, Tecate cans, Blunts, Homies, chicks and music. I would have saved more money having a party at my house. I did get to see some independent performers that Ive never seen before . i give the festival 3 stars out of 10.

I was interested in being a vendor there, im glad I didnt the lay out up was horrible. #fail

I don’t think that things went smoothly at all. Reading reviews and speaking to others who were in attendance, I can agree with most of what was said. Saturday when we arrived we went to the artist check in and they didn’t have my name on the list. Even though I responded to the several annoying “HEY TEAM…” text messages with all of our names. Luckily one of the members of our group wasn’t able to attend and I took their ticket. As soon as we enter we were going def with all the music blaring from the stages, and vending booths. Now I love my music loud but when you can’t enjoy a convo with the person next to you or even the performers on stage, it’s really not cool.  May I add that the sound in the arena was just as bad? We were scheduled to go on at a certain time and we were pushed back over an hour. I can understand that no biggie cause we had a perfect time slot. Not so good for the folks that were scheduled later. Why you ask…well because the later it got the crowed got smaller and not to mention having artists re-scheduled to perform the following day cause they shut the stages down. As it got closer to the end of the night I started hearing rumors that REDMAN isn’t going to perform…what?!??? After waiting and waiting he finally arrives and put on a dope show. Oh don’t let me forget that the “drink & food tickets “that were given to the artists weren’t valid anywhere. Not even for a fuckin cup of tap water. The “VIP area” was filled with people who didn’t pay for VIP or who weren’t artists. They were able to gain access by just walking to the open “VIP” section of the bleachers and walking down the stars. HMMMM didn’t think about that very well BCS lol!  Sunday…we had to pay another $10.00 for parking ($20 total) and there was hardly anyone there.  Same old shit from the day before. Only difference this time was that some of the acts that were to perform Sunday because they shut down the stages early Sat, didn’t get to play at all! Now that’s some BULL SHIT!  I know that you have to start someplace. Theses fellas are young and maybe their shows will get better. But when you fuck over not just a few but a grip of performers and the other festival goers, it will be very hard to win them back. We put in a lot of money and time promoting for this and to get screwed in the way that we did …doesn’t sit well! p.s.R.A. did get paid BUT they weren’t trying to pay him. At one point it looked like he wanted to deck Chris and some other fool till they came back with more money.  What I don’t understand is why R.A. brought that one fool that sang that gay ass song. Guess BCS thought it would be cool just like they thought that Fat head I mean Fat Joe would be cool. I would have been good not seeing most of the main stage artist to be honest!   What I did enjoy was the BMX and that we were able to smoke freely!!! 

None of you, obviously, know what it takes to put on a show of this magnitude! BCS put alot of work into  this festival, was it perfect, NO...but i am extremely proud of my guys!! So until any of you can do it better..SHUT THE FUCK UP!! :O)

this event called me to set up a clothing booth for $300. This was  "deal" because the event was in 4days. The guy calling me had no idea about the event. He didnt know how to sell it. couldnt even answer my questions. Who's playing.how many tickets sold? how many people do you expect? etc.

This festival was a complete joke! Some artists didn't get to play even after promoting and selling tickets for the event. Stages were shut down. Security was minimal. It was completely unprofessional and down right raunchy. RA the Rugged man didn't even get payed! These promoters snaked their vendors by promising massive pre-sale numbers that never came through. They snaked their artists by shutting down stages and not giving them their deserved playtime. God dropped a massive dookie on this festival and it's shady promoters.

I even seen Redman get asked to Pay to get in !!!Its fucking Redman !!!, Are these guys serious,,  after this foo performs at your showCant believe what I was seeing ,, Pretty Scandilous on the Organizers part  : (

You know how much The Promoters  BCS    made just from each artist performing,, Woo Wee thats bank alonehad its good times,, but most of time, No Wonder so many people were Smoking their brains out, shit was mad unorganized

Food good independent artists, and vendors,, but most of festival overall just seemed sketchy, especially the VIP Tickets ,were a  scam and  Damn the promoters made all the artist buy their own drinks,, No love

Then power got shut off and YEs  FAT JOE  LIP SYNced the WHOle TIMe.. WACCKKKKK

wow, so many "reatured" stars at this restival.
