Don't fear Halloween this year, friends. Yes, there are a lot of choices, but some -- even in Hollywood -- do go beyond the usual slutty costumes and amateur night pandemonium. Many promoters are thinking outside the boobie/boogie box for their Halloween haps, serving up wicked new themes that are sexy in atypical ways. Here, the ones deserving of the loudest screams.

Fri., Oct. 28

Narnia Halloween offers fantasy and fabulousness at La Descarga, the bar behind the magical wardrobe (if you've been there you know what we're talking about). What Cheer Productions brings the beatsmiths (Dan Mancini and Aaron Castle) and the band (Saint Motel) while the bar's bevy of burlesque cast its spell. Two nights: Friday and Saturday. $100 gets you open bar all night. 1159 North Western Ave. www.ladescargala.comTickets and tables at narniahalloween@gmail.com

"Erotic fortune tellers, haunted hayride boy & girl lap-dancers, naughty gogo monsters, a costume runway strip off, a mummy massage parlour and live nekkid blood wrestling" are just some of the freaky features of Miss Kitty's World Famous Electrosex Halloween Ball. Performers include Courtney Cruz, Rudeness, Marky Makeup and Miss Kitty's Filthy Family. DJs Barbeau, Xian and Jasten King spin the sinfully sexy sounds. At the Dragonfly, 6510 Santa Monica blvd. www.misskittysparlour.com

Booby Trap's dramatic and demonic Theatre of Horror, is a haunted house party touting "horrific cinematic moment" art installations and a disco bloodbath on three floors. The Victorian manse will offer music by Blok (live) and DJs Josh Peace, DJ Laura, Louisahhh, Soft Metals (DJ set), Small Pyramids, Chris Cruse, Phyllis Navidad, Anon & Kim Anh and Saratonin. Tickets here.

Mermaids and pirates will haunt the Aquarium of Pacific which opens its doors after dark for a Halloween Night Dive (and dance). Drink, DJs, live art, bands and of course sea creatures create the eerie aquatic ambiance. Free Moral Agents and Restavrant rocks the lobsters, and Thomas Phillip Michael, Dj Digglz, DJ Endor and JP spin tunes. Tickets here.

Sat., Oct. 29

Bootie LA's first ever Halloween Monster Mash offers DJs Paul V. and Shyboy spinning spooky Halloween (boo)tlegs and pop hit mashups. Guests include DJ Freddy aka "King of Pants" (creator of Seattle's original mashup bootleg party FrankenBoot) plus the ravaging display of the dance group known as R.A.I.D. Midnight costume contest. At The Echoplex,1154 Glendale Blvd., Echo Park www.BootieLA.com

For only $10 till 10pm, then $15 after, Bootie LA is pretty much THE MOST FUN Halloween event and dance club you can lay your monster mitts on! Seriously - it's a BLAST! Fun mixed crowd, and no douchebag quotient!

Looks like individual tix are sold out, but LACMA membership pkgs (which get you in) are still available (and they come with Tim Burton swag!) :)
