LinA In LA Party Picks: Be Grateful While You Grind
It's almost Thanksgiving, y'all! Here are a few things to be thankful for while clubbing this week in Los Angeles: 1) the diversity and sheer magnitude of party offerings here, 2) the great DJs bred and based in the city and the great DJs always stopping through on tour, 3) the freedom to express yourself stylistically, sexually, musically and socially with individuals that, more than likely, will be a lot more fun than the ones you'll share turkey with.

A dark, decadent night of Subversion awaits you as Killing Spree's Black Rainbow guest spins, along with residents Comrade Stallen & Wesley Deraven. Boy Division (a tribute to Joy Division featuring members of festival of Dead Dear, Mighty Six Ninety, and The Art of Safecracking) and Seattle's Nightmare Fortress play live. At the Mime, 1840 Glendale Blvd. www.facebook.com/SubversionLA
The club name Raunch says it all. This gay grinder from Rolling-Blackouts and Starrfucker always offers salacious good times for boys, with sleazy music and videos. This week, the sexy sounds of guest DJ Victor Rodriguez (Shits & Giggles) and DJ Pee Play (Honey Soundsystem) heat it up even more. Plus, guest "pimp" Fade-Dra offers a stable of go-go men for your dancing pleasure. Bring bills. At the Faultline, 4216 Melrose Ave. www.facebook.com/RaunchLA

Androgynous club kid glamour rivaling NYC in the '90s has been adding sparkle to gay, mixed and straight L.A. dance soirees for a few years now. But never has flamboyant fashion in nightlife been so ambitious or focused as it will be at RUNWAY. Some of the city's most notable style freaks have joined forces for this one, with special guests promised each month. For tonight's debut, they've got NYC's most physical femme, Cherie Lily, performing her sweaty spandex anthem, "Werk." Also, performance art by dynamic duo, The Unicorns and DJs Cassie Carpenter, Mix America and David Banjela. Fab frolicking by everyone in the photo above. At Circus Disco, 6655 Santa Monica Blvd. www.facebook.com/Runway.Hollywood
