Last night was the final night of GV30, concert promoter Goldenvoice's 30th anniversary punk rock show. It was legendary. The sheer energy of the sold out show proved that punk is still alive and kicking in 2011. The most exciting part? Keith Morris and Chuck Dukowski were on the same stage again. The rumors were true and Black Flag were indeed the night's special guests.

Ill Repute: Nard-core in Los Angeles
Ill Repute were the night's first fan favorites. They got the ball rolling fast with their explosive signature "Nard-core" sound, the term coined for the punk rock scene out of Oxnard, California. "Goldenvoice played a big role in getting the Oxnard scene big in L.A." said John Phaneuf, Ill Repute's singer. They started their set with "Sleepwalking," and went on to play everything their fans wanted to hear, including "Clean Cut American Kid" and "Cherokee Nation."

This is the shittiest show review I've ever read.  Go back to college.  Or maybe high school?

I'd have to agree with H8RAVERS,  if you are going to give a review of the biggest Punk Show in L.A. History,  you should at very least get something right,  like what bands played and when. The writer must have shown up late or didnt read the flyer,   celebrating 30 years as a band in 2012 legendary Huntington Beach locals Love Canal opened the night with a blistering 25 minute set that primed the pump for the rest of the nights festivities.    Right after Love Canals set another surprise unannounced guest rolled out on stage,  1st generation Orange County punks Shattered Faith took to the stage and blasted out 4 songs,  original guitar player Kerry Martinez(U.S. Bombs) even made the trip out from his current home in New York City to partake in the reunion.    Two bands down in just over 30 minutes and the slam pit was already full of blood sweat and beers!.

Listing every song every band played is not a review — it's lazy reporting. This has to be the most juvenile and uneducated thing I've ever read. Is making conjectures and actually analyzing what you saw/heard too hard for you?
