1. Yelawolf makes the point clear in both cases. Using the "n word" is cultural. the white girl in A$AP's video is in NY mouthing the word--respectfully (for all intents and purposes) with A$AP's artistic permission, so to speak. 

2. V Nasty thinks its appropriate for her to use "nigga" because there is a cultural difference, her kids are half black, and she feels she grew up in the same CULTURE--and therefore she thinks she has "permission" to use "nigga" as a white rapper. 3. Yelawolf himself makes a noble argument when he says that shit dont fly with him (using the n word) both as a white rapper and even more as a human being. Why not for Yelawolf, also a white rapper ? Because he grew up in deep southern CULTURE and it is even more racially charged word in Alabama where he is from. Setting aside the issue of V Nasty using the "n word"...  Yelawolf saying he would personally "smack V Nasty" if he heard her use the word? UM not okay. Why is it that no one has discussed the male-on-female violence so painfully obvious in that clip? It speaks volumes about how culture and words can affect ALL of us. That we freak over speaking or mouthing the "n word," but threats of violence (whether real or not) go unnoticed completely. Yelawolf admits he would slap a white woman (whom he has never met) for speaking a word that he personally and culturally disagrees with. Yet, not one reader bothered to raise the issue here. 

If u have 2 ask becuz u dont know when this or Anything else iz appropriate hat meanz YOU shouldnt say it...the double standard iz the fact that she'z actually a nigga.not blacc but a nigga none the less.white people didnt teach her that word,niggaz did.

In Miami. Everyone is a "nigga" when anyone is refering to anybody else.  If you listen to anyone talk about anyone else. Instead of "dude" or "homie" or "my friend" or "that guy" or "cuz" or "bro" it's "nigga" or "that nigga" or "this nigga" being used. I grew up in LA. I'm a white dude that grew up in a pretty equally racial diverse area. Went to a HS that was pretty much 20% white, 20% Black, 20% Latino, 20% Asian, and 20% other. (Not exact figures and not ordered in any particular way other than that's how it popped into my head, and if your "other" it's not my fault I couldn't label you without offending you and it's not my fault because there wasn't enough of you to jump into the "Big Four") I would never think of calling anyone a nigga. But, have been refered to others as "my nigga" a few times. I've chased an ignorant white jogger down the street for calling my black friend a "stupid nigger that should go back where he came from"  because my buddy had to pull into a crosswalk and wait (after he properly stopped prior) because of fast moving cross traffic. The dumbass had to jog a whole block before he could even get to this crosswalk. He had plenty of time to avoid jogging into my friends car.  We witnessed many accidents at this blind stop sign. Not only did we live across this intersection. But, my buddy was born and raised in the city that he jogged in. This girl is in a music video & paid to lip sync words of an artist.  V-Nasty & her white home girlz are not acting. They are rapping and expressing themselves, as themselves. They are a product of where they came from. Like my buddy (who could take offense to the words these girls are using, and that offend some of you) says that he's sure that his ancestors were slaves when they walked the earth. And he feels what they went through. But, today he would never be enslaved by any word used by anyone. These girls are rappers. Some call them artists. Some call them performers. All I can say is if you like it. Listen and support them. If you don't like it? Turn it off. No one should judge anyone, nor threaten someone for just being themselves. Don't let any word enslave you.

Not defending its usage but kids of color--Asian, Hispanic, etc.--that grow up with black kids who use the "n" word, drop it themselves, even in front of other black kids, all the time. I think it's sad that it's okay for a man to say he'd hit a female for saying a certain word and it's okay. I like what he says about knowing where words come from, but threatening violence to women shouldn't be acceptable. That being said though I think that V-nasty is ridiculous and most new rap is ridicilious. 

How bizarre has American culture become when there are words that certain races can use and its not a problem, but when other races say its a bad thing. If any of you ever live outside of America you will see how ridiculous and absurd this American culture fo pah is.

haha peoples ingorance in the usage of the word nigga, is unbelievable.... in todays world the word nigga does not have the same meaning as the word nigger did in the past.... rap/hip hop is todays popular culture and thus has allowed the word nigga to evolve into a term that no longer has a racist meaning but a word that is used in a regular fashion to refer to someone. It doesnt change meaning because a different race uses the word either, to the people who think it does your fucking retarded and need to get off the whole racist train. Wtf did you think would happen to the word nigga that is used over and over in multiplle songs? I'll say it again QUIT riding the fucking racist train, and you wonder why racism hasnt died, because everything is referred back to race, its a fucking word which lost its demeaning manner a long fucking time ago. if you don't like it to fucking bad, the hiphop/rap culuture shouldnt have let it evolve into the meaning it has today.....

First of all she lip-synching and people need to stop trying to act like nigga and nigger mean the same thing.  I have close friends of all races that I call nigga and they use the word nigga but if some random fuck comes up to me and says nigger in a disrespectful way then thats a whole different story.
