Silver Lake Jubilee Lineup Announced: Aloe Blacc and Kinky Headline

Sunset Junction may be a thing of the past, but you can still get your fill of delicious, delicious indie fun on the near-east side. Over Memorial Day weekend, May 26-27, Silver Lake Jubilee -- which would really rather be called simply Jubilee, thanks much -- will take place on Santa Monica Blvd. at Sunset, and feature "the city's most eclectic selection of bands, comedy, literature, artists, food trucks, and shopping," according to its lit.

General admission passes are $20-35; if you get them online you get a t-shirt, but otherwise you can get tickets at Amoeba, Barkeeper, Origami, Vacation, Wacko, and at the event itself. Below is the the list, which a West Coast Sound exclusive. We're particularly psyched for Fidlar, the subject of our feature story this week.

$20 for Aloe Blacc alone is a steal. Everyone else is icing on that cake. Also, just enjoy the vibe yo! Meet yur neighbors! Have fun! Get laid! Its a street party! Chillax everyone! The Jubilee seem to be pretty transparent about why the fee was raised and where the money is going. Im still out my $20 from last years Junction that never happened. But I'm not gonna let that make me protest anyone else from trying to get a fest going right again.

FIDLAR, Allah-LAs, and Aloe Blacc are worth a $20 entrance alone. Just pretend you are a generous person and you are buying you awesome "friends" in a band a drink or two and SUCK IT UP.

If you are going to bitch, don't go to the Jubilee. Go hang out on the pointless yellow polka dots down the street.

Not feeling the 20 dollar thing. This has to be L.A. city and their bureaucratic taxing driving the price up. These idiots at city hall look at Silver Lake as a profit due to its popularity at the time and unfortunately spell its doom. This is why they killed the junction and why this will fail as well. Revolt.

Same line-up from two years ago except for a couple of bands, do they really think this line-up is worth $20? The truth is it's worth $10, I guess everyone needs to learn the hard way the jubilee had Sunset Junction to learn from but i guess they gotta have their hand burned as well...

Yeah, paying $8 to see local bands at a bar with bad sound that doesn't pay the bands is worth it vs. paying $20 for a bunch of paid bands and having half of that go towards funding community programs isn't.
