19-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after DUI Collision near West Tribal Road

VALLEY CENTER, CA (April 24, 2024)Fernando Porras Abrego was arrested Friday night after a deadly DUI crash on Valley Center Road. The incident occurred at approximately 8:20 p.m., near West Tribal Road on April 19th. Authorities reported that Abrego was operating a southbound white Ford Expedition on Valley Center Road. Meanwhile, a 19-year-old male driver in a white Toyota Camry was traveling east on West Tribal Road, and the two vehicles collided at the intersection. The impact of the collision resulted in the death of the 19-year-old driver, who was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel. The identity of the deceased victim has not been disclosed by authorities. Fernando Porras Abrego, aged 34, sustained no injuries from the accident. He was later taken into custody and transported to Vista Detention Facility on charges related to DUI.
