From AEG/MJ publicist:

As of 5:30 pm PST, there are 524,330 registrants for tickets to the Michael Jackson Public Memorial Service.

AEG has just announced that since the registration process was initiated this morning, additional legal terms have been incorporated into the conditions of entry to allow non-U.S. residents the opportunity to register for the random ticket drawing.

They haven't told us what these additional legal terms are. But the chances of getting in if you've registered for a ticket are roughly 52 to 1, which means that you better draw your ace of hearts right now.

UPDATE: This from AEG/Jackson publicist:

REGISTRATION PROCESS FOR RANDOM TICKET DRAWING FOR
MICHAEL JACKSON PUBLIC MEMORIAL SERVICE ENDS

1.6 Million Registrants Sign Up For Random Drawing For Free Tickets

LOS ANGELES--The registration process for the public drawing for free tickets to the Michael Jackson Public Memorial Service at STAPLES CENTER has ended. 1.6 million registrants have signed up since registration opened on Friday, July 3, at 10:00 AM PST.

Beginning immediately, AEG will initiate a complete "scrubbing" of all entries in order to eliminate duplicates and entries suspected to have been made by auto-entry systems and "go-bots." After that process is complete, a random drawing of 8,750 registrants will be made. Each registrant will receive two tickets to either the memorial service in STAPLES Center or the live simulcast in Nokia Theatre LA LIVE.

Fans who are selected to get tickets will receive an email on Sunday, July 5, after 11:00 AM PST with an exclusive unique code and instructions on how to obtain their two free tickets.

In order to avoid the reselling of tickets, selected registrants will be directed to a single distribution center where they will be given their two tickets and two wristbands, one of which will be placed on their wrist at that time. Fans attending the memorial service must have both a valid ticket AND a wristband. Wristbands that have been ripped, taped or otherwise mutilated will be void.

Ticket distribution will occur on Monday, July 6, at an off-site location. Tickets will not be distributed at STAPLES Center or Nokia Theatre LA LIVE.
