​Aesop Rock producer and instrumental hip hopper Blockhead pays a visit to the Echo with Ninjatune Records labelmate, Yppah tonight.

Blockhead rolls into town following the digital release of his latest album, The Music Scene, last week, which features the familiar laid-back vinyl pastiche that earned him a prime spot on indie hip hop label Def Jux in the late 1990's. Blockhead will be joined by big beat, shoe-gaze artist Yppah, aka Joe Corrales Jr. and his touring band, whose psychedelic sound conjurs a live DJ Shadow vibe.
