Last fall we spoke to Brooklyn rapper Magneto Dayo, who has collaborated with V-Nasty, the controversial MC who used to be aligned with Kreayshawn in her White Girl Mob crew.

Dayo said that he and V-Nasty had been involved, and that, further, she got pregnant and said that baby was his. Um, not exactly, responded V-Nasty. In fact, not at all. "Yeah, I've never met him or anything," she told us. "I just did a song with him through emails...I will kick his ass."

Dayo did not take this well, and has just released a diss track called "OJ Simpson (Tribute 2 the White Girl Mob)," which you can hear below. It's pretty much exactly what it sounds like: an all-out escalation of their beef.

Formerly aligned with Kreayshawn's White Girl Mob crew, she's now split with them, but has re-emerged with a deal from Las Vegas-based independent upstart Pinnacle Records. (Their press release says she's gotten a "$750,000" deal and is working with Ryan Seacrest. Her new video "Fuck Your Face," is below.) At West Coast Sound we loves us some V-Nasty gossip. (If you've forgotten, she's Kreayshawn's crewmate, formerly known as the white girl rapper who drops the n-word.) So when we heard that her ex-boyfriend -- a Brooklyn rapper named Magneto Dayo -- was making his debut with a new mixtape about which she was more or less the subject, we got him on the horn as fast as possible.

[Editor's note: Subsequent to the publication of this article, V-Nasty denied any involvement with Dayo. She says she's never even met him in person.]

Turns out the work, due out later this year, is called The Maury Show, which references the talk show's infamous paternity testing! Dayo says that, as applied to him, this is both metaphorical and literal. "I say I'm the father of a lot of these artists because I wrote these songs for them, and I feel like I'm the father of their style," he says. "But, I also named it The Maury Show for the 'You are not the father' aspect of it because I was basically lied to that I had a baby on the way...she lied about a baby being mine."

The internet is broken again. It's telling us that first-week sales of Kreayshawn's debut Somethin' 'Bout Kreay -- released last week, it moved about 3,900 units -- are the weakest ever for a major label release. Thanks for the misinformation everyone, which has come fast and furious, often with the (also bogus) addendum that the previous record was held by Soulja Boy.

When her "Gucci Gucci" video dropped last summer, Kreayshawn found herself in the middle of a maelstrom. Some people thought she was a breath of fresh air and that "Gucci Gucci" was a much-needed middle finger to the label-obsessed materialism that's run unchecked in hip-hop for a very long time. Others simply thought she was the worst (THE WORST) thing that had happened to music. Personally we're happy she brought the world V-Nasty, but one thing is undeniable: Love or hate her, Kreayshawn's got your attention, and once she has it, it's hard to get back.

As one blogger pointed out, V-Nasty raps like your typical dude from the hood.

It's true. "I'm a bitch but I rock like a male," she says on "Sick Swag," a song from her new mixtape with Gucci Mane, BAYTL. It's a great album title, but let's just get this out of the way up top: V-Nasty is not the most lyrical of rappers. If there was any doubt, BAYTL proves that. No matter. We still can't stop playing it.

Producer Zaytoven is the real star of the project. His skittering, Southern-fried beats garnished with piano keys and violins guarantee BAYTL will get plenty of club play. Gucci Mane, meanwhile, is often dialing it in. ("Money flyin' out the anus/Swag in Uranus.") And V's lines aren't always particularly creative.

But they are funny! And with that in mind, here are the 20 most hilarious and/or most inexplicable of her lines from the work. Number 20 is particularly amusing considering how many times she's been to jail. And please, will someone explain number three to us?

Speak

It's an August afternoon in Hollywood, and the shaggy-bearded rapper Speak is snacking on mac 'n' cheese in a recording studio at Atlantic Records.

He doesn't seem like he belongs here. For starters, he's wearing beach bum attire: sun-bleached peach board shorts and Sperry Top-Siders.

Though he came up as a rapper, he's been moonlighting recently as a ghostwriter, working on songs for acts such as No Doubt and rappers like Plies. But he's just been told that the song he wrote for the aforementioned MC isn't edgy enough -- a verdict he refutes loudly.

He knows he can come across as an opinionated prick (his words), but he also knows he's valued: After all, he co-wrote Kreayshawn's massive hit "Gucci Gucci" almost a year ago, and has collaborated on many more of her tracks, including her only other release so far, "Rich Whores."

She ain't no Princess Peach, but Kreayshawn now has her very own video game. Kreayshawn: The Game bowed earlier this month, courtesy of Toronto-based illustrator-cum-game-designer Beth Maher. The 8-bit creation places the L.A. rapper alongside Van Halen, Michael Jackson and Journey, among others, in the gaming realm.

"I thought it would be fun," Maher tells us over email, adding that it's her first game and she built it through a workshop helping young women to get into video game development. "A line like 'I got the swag, and it's pumping out my ovaries' deserves to be immortalized somehow, and I think video games -- as an art form -- can function as pop-cultural commentary."

Around 9:30 last night, just as I was settling in for the evening, I got a message from Freak City's Rick Ross. "Krea just decided to have her birthday party at Freak City tonight. Wanna come by?" Well, duh.

The venue has been indeed hosting the finest freaks of the industry this summer, from Peaches to Lil B to, this Thursday, Spaceghostpurrp. It made sense that Kreay and her band of bad bitches chose this spot. The idea came together so quickly, however, that there was no guest list. At least at the beginning of the night, the crowd was small enough that attendees were able to personally give their best wishes to the birthday girl.
